Description

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager, graduates will be considered, to join Dynniq’s Commercial team. The location for this role is flexible; Basingstoke (HO), Manchester or Leicester.

What you will do

  • The main purpose of the role is to oversee the commercial aspects of tendering; including the assessment and negotiation of terms and conditions, identifying risk and mitigation actions, and identifying contractual areas to achieve a competitive advantage with tender position and subsequent variations.
  • You will also be required to perform an internal handover of won tenders to operational colleagues and provide commercial support thereafter to those teams where necessary.

Some other responsibilities

  • Provide commercial support to the tendering team.
  • Maximising financial and commercial interests whilst ensuring effective risk management.
  • Assist with tendering of projects when the estimating team are busy.
  • Ensure that all enquiries and tenders are commercially controlled.
  • Provide commercial support to the operational teams where necessary.
  • Assist with quality responses for tenders where necessary.
  • Work with all appropriate internal stakeholders e.g. Legal, Procurement, HR, etc.
  • Ensure commercial data is correctly maintained in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
  • Provide commercial input to annual budget setting.
  • Comply with all QHSSE regulations and procedures.
  • Ensure current industry standards and practices are understood and adhered to.

What we are looking for

In order to fulfil the role successfully the following are some of the key skills and experience required:

  • Degree qualified in a construction-related discipline, or extensive experience in a similar industry
  • Experience of commercial contract management.
  • Extensive experience in various types of project terms and conditions from a financial T&Cs perspective.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand specifications and terms and conditions.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel and reside overnight, dependent upon business needs.
  • Full driving licence
