We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable Service Engineer to join WPS’s Service Division to cover the South East (London area) area.

What you will do

You will provide first class service and maintenance support to customers, via the telephone, remote PC and on site. You will fault find, rectify and carry out preventative maintenances of electronically controlled parking systems. From time to time you will assist with system configuration, installation and testing. The successful applicant will ensure all work is carried out in line with customer contractual conditions whilst maintaining high work standards of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment.

The role also includes assisting in customer training and working with internal support staff to implement technical resolutions for customers. You will show a high degree of professionalism and have excellent customer service skills.

What we are looking for

In order to fulfill the role successfully the following are some of the key skills and experience required:

  • GCSE’s in English, Maths & Sciences (or equivalent)
  • ONC or equivalent in a related engineering discipline
  • Basic electrical and engineering knowledge
  • Experience in field service work
  • Preferably understanding of parking systems, hardware and software
  • Good working knowledge of PC based networked control systems
  • Ability to work on own and as part of a team
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Enthusiastic with good communication skills
  • Full driving licence
