We are looking to recruit a Senior Technician to join Dynniq’s Dublin Field Engineering Services Team.

What you will do

A primary objective of this role is to lead a small team of Technicians and Skilled Operatives engaged in the delivery of traffic signal and other ITS Equipment Projects for a variety of Local authority Clients, at various locations throughout Ireland. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge.

You will be the principal escalation point for technical issues, especially those relating to technical data. As a natural mentor, you will be required to support the Service Supervisor in the performance management of your direct reports.  A thorough awareness of contractual and service delivery requirements in your area of responsibility including customer details, project scope and contract KPI’s.

Although predominantly based in the Dublin area, there may be a requirement from time to time to work in other Service Centre districts which may involve overnight stays. You may also be required to work overtime and/or participate in a regular call out roster.

What we are looking for

In order to fulfil the role successfully the following are some of the key skills and experience required:

  • National Craft Certificate (Electrical)
  • Technical Certificate / Diploma in software development or another IT-related discipline
  • Advanced IT applications skillset
  • Detailed knowledge of traffic management principles, traffic signal controllers and ITS equipment
  • Chapter 8 Traffic Signs Manual Awareness
  • Solas Safe Pass and CSCS Signing, Lighting and Guarding at Roadworks
  • Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
  • Organised, trustworthy, self-motivated, with initiative and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience of report writing
  • Customer focused with demonstrable commercial awareness
  • Experience of working in a performance measurement environment (KPIs)
  • Full class B driving licence, (Class C licence an advantage)
