We have a vacancy for an ambitious and inspiring Head of Business Development to build, lead and motivate the Sales, Marketing and Bidding teams to deliver growth objectives for the business.

Some of the Key responsibilities include:

  • The leadership of the SWARCO Traffic Limited & Dynniq UK Ltd Sales, Marketing & Bidding Team (UK and Ireland)
  • Oversee transformation of sales capabilities beyond the selling of standard products and services to a more consultative sales and solutions led approach
  • Team structure, management and development to achieve operational excellence within area of responsibility
  • Optimise and improve CRM processes
  • Integration responsibility for your area of the Post Merger Integration following 2021 acquisitions
  • Ownership and responsibility for delivering the annual sales & order intake budget
  • Devise, agree and implement the combined sales strategy
  • Explore and develop new business models to increase the attractiveness of our portfolio, enhancing revenue generating opportunities – including‚ service models (MaaS, SaaS, etc)
  • Generate long term recurring revenues streams through value added selling and services
  • Position the business as a market leader in the ITS Sector
  • Management and ownership of Key relationships and accounts on behalf of the business
  • Member of the Senior Management Team
  • Effective and robust bid management processes across the team, resulting in a high and continuously improving success rate
  • Ensuring the business is marketing itself effectively in line with its Country and group strategy, including regular interaction with the Group sales & marketing functions

What we are looking for:

  • Senior Sales Professional with experience of operating at Director/Head of Level in client organisations
  • Proven sales and solutions background, including significant deal closure
  • Strong ability to deliver effective sales lifecycle, from initial identification, through qualification, bid and post tender award gates
  • Evidence of strong contacts and relationships in the industry, or evidence of growing such relationships in a parallel industry
  • Experience in the sales of software and integrated projects with a focus on long term recurring revenue business models
  • Experience in delivering technology product sales and in championing development (R&D) to meet market needs
  • Track record of developing win strategies and managing tender responses for large opportunities
  • Change Management skills and experience
  • Proven and successful ability to lead a sales team to deliver revenue and profit growth
  • Familiar with working in both the B2G and B2B sales environment
  • Demonstrable record of securing major project wins
  • Domain knowledge of the Traffic and ITS business sector is highly desirable
  • Experienced in the use and best practice of CRM systems
